Maintaining a service record on any car is recommended, not only because it maintains the life of the vehicle and most importantly, the safety, it is also a huge selling point when trying to sell on your car.
If, when we inspect your car at the start of the service, we find any faults, we will notify you of the likely cost before doing any work and, if you're not ready to have the work done, we will advise you of the fault for future reference and the safety implications and/or cost impacts on other components in the car that may be affected.
Should any new parts be required, we can usually obtain them the same day but if there is going to be a delay then we will inform you at the earliest opportunity.
It is a common misconception that you must get your vehicle serviced and maintained by a manufacturer or authorized dealer to retain your warranty. However, providing your alternative garage is VAT registered and follows the manufacturers designated service schedules and uses OEM parts; your warranty will remain valid.
Most manufacturers recommend that you change your brake fluid every two years however this is not factored into the service due to the varying demands of customers i.e. some change fluid more regularly, and others specify particular brake fluid. If you haven't changed your brake fluid it is worth getting it checked. If your fluid needs renewing. We can bleed your braking system in conjunction with your service and we are happy to use your preferred fluid, if required.
